Clothing - Wear clothes that require minimal fiddling or adjusting, and ensure there are no tags hanging out.

Accessories - If you have jewelry, consider wearing it as it can add detail to the images.

Newborn session

Lunch

  • Don’t forget about lunch! Sessions from 12-2 PM can mean you’ll spend the morning getting ready and might overlook eating. I recommend having something easy prepared to snack on during or after the session to keep your energy up.

Colder weather

  • If you have heaters turn these on during the colder months for your newborn session at home.

For the Siblings:

  • Sibling - daycare and nap time
  • Be cautious of daycare days and sleep times we can be flexible to suit the children's routine
  • Favourite toy / comforters
  • Snacks / lunch
  • Treats reward

Partner posing tips

Where to Look: I will guide you on where to look, whether it’s away, down at the belly, or at your partner.

  • Candid images: Look away for a natural feel.
  • Posed images: Look at the camera or towards each other.

What to Do with Hands:

  • In your pockets
  • On your knees or legs while sitting
  • Around your partner while cuddling and standing
  • Partners: Hold your partner's face or touch the man's hair.

Direction and Poses:

  • If you’re an affectionate couple, I will guide you through kisses and cuddles.

Partners: Share your vision with him—let him know the poses you’d like him to do and how you want to be held and looked at. Also, gently communicate what you’d prefer him not to do.
